lola lola

I recently discovered a new shop on Etsy.  I could spend all day on Etsy.  Really.
Anyway, there was a featured shop on my home page and it was at that very moment that I was introduced to Lola Donoghue.  Don't you kind of wish your name was Lola?
This Irish teacher, turned full-time artist, uses whatever media she has on hand... markers, chalk, ink, neons, paint, etc.  And she paints whatever comes to mind.
I never do posts about my favorite Etsy shops.  I don't know why, so I thought I'd start now.

Weekly Favorites

Brandon and I started reading The Five Love Languages the other evening.  We may end up just reading a few chapters a week when we have the time, but it seems amazing so far.  I'm having a hard time waiting for moments when I'm with him to read it!

This lip gloss.

I had some pillow covers made for my future in-laws by Bucket of Ducks.  I can't recommend Libbie enough!  I think these pillows are serene and classic, yet trendy at the same time.

This dress.

I really, really love this hair.  Wonder if I'll ever take the plunge to do ombre?  I'm afraid the style will have already run its course by the time I get the guts.

This quote.

These glasses.

And my BIG favorite is that exactly two weeks from today, all of my bridesmaids and I will be reunited in KEY WEST for my bachelorette party!

a few loves...

These Emi-Jay 'Pearl' Hair Ties are life changing.  I received these in my red carpet kit from Rembrandt and haven't looked back since.  They don't damage or dent your hair, unlike traditional elastics.

The Shopbop spring event is going on now and I'm really tempted to purchase these Gucci glasses.

I also really love this Diane von Furstenberg Circle Scarf.  I'm all about this blue color for spring.

...and finally, like most everyone else, I'm loving Jennifer Lawrence in Dior.  Really, JLaw in general to tell the truth.
I even thought she looked incredibly glamorous when she fell on the steps!  She blew me away, mostly because of how she is goofy, beautiful, strong willed, funny and sexy all rolled into one.  Not too many people can accomplish that.

That's it for today.  Xo-M

Decision Time!

Brandon and I have been casually looking around at different king beds for when we get married.  We know that, eventually, we will purchase a complete bedroom suite with a wooden bed.  But for now, our sights are on a simple upholstered bed to mix with furniture we already own.

I'm slightly obsessed with Joss & Main.  Basically, I drool at the website everyday.  They have great upholstered beds at a pretty awesome price.  I've found a few on there that I think would work well.  Here's where you come in... I want your help!  We may end up waiting and not purchasing either of these, but I'm curious to know your preference.

Option #1:
Option #2:
Here are some inspiration photos.
(We will use all white bedding and have light walls.)

So what do you think ....option #1 or option #2?

loves of the week

Missiko sent me a 1.5 inch Babyliss Pro Ceramic Spring Curling Iron and I'm officially obsessed.  It makes me want to curl my hair everyday.  I've been playing with it a lot recently and love the curls it gives my hair.  It heats up super quickly and is very easy to use.  It has ceramic and tourmaline properties, so that helps to protect your hair and keep it's natural moisture sealed in.  Summary... it doesn't fry your hair!  This is what makes a professional curling iron different than the one you can buy at a drugstore.

I spotted a pair of these chairs on sale in Elizabeth Stuart Designs and fell head over heels.  I wish I could blink my eyes and have them in my living room.  Someone in Charleston, please go buy them.

I'm also loving last night.  I cleaned and did laundry, then cuddled with Winston on the couch and watched Newlyweds.

Rembrandt was so sweet to send over a kit full of "girls night" essentials -games, Essie nail polish, Neutrogena skincare, drink mixes, and many other fun products.  One product that really stood out to me is the Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Corrector.  It's kind of amazing.
It has maximum strength 2% Salicylic Acid, so by putting this on a blemish, it reduces size and redness within hours.  This will be in my beauty arsenal for a long, long time.

That's all for today.  Happy, Happy Thursday!

loves

The best skinny jeans you will ever have.  Period.  Stretchy and comfortable, but still structured so that they look like jeans and not leggings.

I have been all about freezing cool whip and then eating it like ice cream.  It's SO yummy and to me, tastes so different when it's frozen.  I have a huge sweet tooth and this satisfies it (surprisingly) ...and at only 20 calories per serving.

Loving this quote.

I've never been the biggest Riesling fan, but this wine is good good.  Plus, it's only about $9 at Costco.

I bought this Archipelago diffuser and it smells so amazing.  It's a fresh scent that isn't too overpowering.  Plus, this one is called "Charleston."  I'm obsessed.

I've been wearing a new druzy stone necklace from Copper Penny almost daily.  I had never heard of "druzy" before, but it's so pretty.

P.S.  Thank you for the prayers yesterday! :)
