lovin' it

{white kitchens}

This curling rod is amazing -seriously, a necessity.
I've owned countless curling irons and never could quite achieve the look I wanted.  Then, my curls would fall flat later on in the day.  This baby heats up in 60 seconds and creates the most beautiful, effortless curls/waves ...and quickly!  I can literally do my entire style in five minutes flat.  I don't know what it is, but my hair holds the curls until the next day.
...and supposedly, it mends your hair while you use it.  Here's what the company has to say:
The Bombshell curls your hair in half the time of traditional clip irons. The Japanese Kyocera Ceramic Technology mends and defends hair while you style. It has a durable, lightweight construction and you only need to simply wrap the hair around the rod barrel for smooth, sultry curls.

It's expensive at $130, but completely worth it in my opinion.  I played around with the idea of getting one for almost a year before making the plunge, and now I don't know how I've gone so long without it!  You can make loose beach waves like this
or more tight, precise curls, too.  I bought the 1-inch, by the way.
This is the video that sold me on it:

I love the drama in this dress!

This is Lancome's newest foundation.  It was introduced to me as I was offered a 10-day supply by the girl working at the makeup counter.  She sold me when she said, "It has taken scientists eight years to come up with this perfect formulation," "it's perfect for brides," and "it is transfer free -won't rub off on clothes."  Ding-a-ling-a-ling... SOLD!
Here's what Lancome has to say...
This velvety smooth foundation blends effortlessly for shine-free, round-the-clock comfort. Retouching throughout the day is unnecessary with this expert formula, which took Lancome eight years of research to perfect and unveil. Available in an impressively wide range of shades, Teint Idole Ultra
24H provides all skintones flawless, even, complexion-perfecting coverage.

The formula reminds me a lot of Makeup Forever HD Foundation in that it's lightweight and very natural looking.  Still, it has awesome coverage.  Lancome offers a ton of different skin tones in this foundation, so you're sure to find the perfect match that will make you look like you're wearing no foundation at all!

  4. I am picking up that foundation to try immediately! That curling rod is tempting me. My hair and makeup artist for my wedding used a similar one in my trial and my curls lasted into the next morning.
