Shopping for a Cause!

As you all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This is a cause that is very dear to my heart, as my grandmother passed away from breast cancer.
I love all of the pink store windows (in Charleston, there is a competition every October for the best store-window design) and all of the items that are distributed in pink especially for the cause!

Here are some of my favorite items I've found in various "Shopping for a Cause" articles.
By purchasing any of these things, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research.
Time to get your pink on!
Very Hollywood Michael Kors Breast Cancer Awareness
Eau de Parfum Rollerball and Lipgloss
$18, Macy's

INC International Concepts Dress, Breast Cancer Research Foundation Pink Sheath
$99, Macy's
(I think this dress could definitely be worn in the Fall by pairing it with black tights & black heels/booties!)

 Under Armour Escape 3" Shorts
$30, Under Armour

The Power of Pink Ionic Styler
$30, Conair

Crane & Co. Search for a Cure Stationary and Caddy Ensemble
$29, Saks

Jay Strongwater Breast Cancer Research Foundation Charm Bracelet

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
$35, Clinique
(This is the best facial lotion I've ever used!)

Tweezerman Breast Cancer Awareness Slant Tweezer
$20, Bloomingdales
(Tweezerman has the BEST tweezers!)

Tory Burch Limited Edition Logo Rain Boot
$150, Tory Burch

Sonia Kashuk "Circle Around a Cause" Six Piece Brush Set

These are all great products
...and honestly, what better reason to buy them!

I supported breast cancer research on Friday night.
Well, actually Brandon did since he paid.
We went to my favorite restaurant, O-ku (I've mentioned it here).
They had a specialty martini called the "Lindsey-tini" and 100% of the proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
It was pink & very delish.

...speaking of Brandon.
Look what I found tonight!
In 2005-2006, I saved my ticket from almost every movie/concert/sporting event that Brandon and I went to. This isn't even all of them ...but wow!
I was really into scrap-booking at the time & felt the need to save absolutely everything in case I wanted to use it for a scrapbook page.
I absolutely hate clutter these days, so I want to throw this kind of  "collection" away, but I just can't bring myself to do it!
This is just a year or so worth of tickets!
We obviously liked movies a lot back then.
xo.

  2. The pink martini is the best! haha I would love to try it. Also, not sure if you watch pro-football but all the guys are wearing pink cleats, towels, hats, etc all month and the coaches have pink ribbons too! It doesn't surprise me that you have all those ticket stubs... I really hope your creativity rubs off on me :)

  3. I lost my aunt to breast cancer 5 years ago. :( Are you doing to the run/walk on Saturday? I'll be there! :)

  4. I'm sorry to hear that :( It's a scary disease, that's for sure. I won't be there because I'm going on a vacation this Friday. My boyfriend, brother & his girlfriend are going on a cruise. I wish I could be in two places at once!

  5. So cute that you have all those stubs saved! I just love those boots and I have such a weird addiction to rain boots, I think because I never get to wear them here. Every time I'm in NY I buy another pair and they just sit in my closet. I guess there are worse things to collect!
