weekend

This was one of those weekends where you cringe having to be inside, so we tried to not do that as much as possible. We continued what seems to be an unintentional tradition of pizza Fridays. Although our new favorite pizza restaurant is in our neighborhood, so walking there must cancel out at least one slice, right? ;) There are always fun things going on around here, like Antiques & Artisans, which happened in our 'hood on Saturday. My mom and I enjoyed walking around the marketplace and visiting each of the vendors. There was anything from food and antiques, to crafts and flowers.

I really wanted these chairs. How cute would they be recovered with a fun fabric? I have a thing for chairs though. Because of that, I have too many and not enough places to put them.

That afternoon, Brandon and I took the boat to Hilton Head Island. It's a quick boat ride from Beaufort, but in all honesty, it could have taken an hour and I don't know if I would have noticed. The weather was perfection. Our destination was also pretty awesome - Skull Creek Boathouse. It's one of our favorite spots for drinks and fried shrimp basket deliciousness.

We took our time on the way back and look - dolphins!

We enjoyed church on Sunday and grabbed some subs to take on the boat afterwards. I forgot the sd card for my camera, so no pictures - but they would have looked just like Saturday's anyway. It really was a great weekend - and I've got a little suntan to prove it!

  3. Wow, you write a beautiful blog and are so stylish, Megan! I found you through a Habersham email. My husband and I are now empty nesters, recently moved to Beaufort and are going to build on a lot in Habersham. I blog too but mine is a little blog, often about gardening but also travel, lifestyle etc. Just a place to share. I am trying to be a more active blogger after slowing down while we sold our family home and relocated in the South. I added your blog to my blogroll. To celebrate a return to blogging, I am offering a giveaway for the first time, a Les Toiles du Soleil canvas little zipper tote that I think you might like. Hope to see you around Habersham one day!
