Ready for Santa

We watched Elf twice in a row last night, put up the tree, and ate Christmas sugar cookie dough.  The perfect night spent getting ready for the Holidays?  I think so too.

I love my kitty... can you tell?  I can only imagine how I will be when we have a child ...the picture craziness has to stop.  I just fear I'm going to miss a special moment.  Plus, I definitely want to document Winston as the small little nugget that he is today.

Our tree is artificial... a "hand-me-down" from Brandon's parents.  It's the perfect size for a smaller space.
When I was home visiting my parents this past weekend, I went with them to get their live tree.  While there, Mom and I picked up a TON of scrap branches.  I placed some of those branches throughout our fake tree to make it look more full and to give it that Christmas tree smell.  You can see the mix of fake and real branches in the photo above.

Merry, Merry.

  12. I bet your kitten just loves the lights. My old cat used to climb up the Christmas tree. Once she knocked it over. I thought it was hysterical but my parents weren't thrilled... haha
