The Wild Olive + Spring Shopping

Last night, I went with a group of girlfriends to celebrate my dear friend's birthday.  We had some cocktails & hors d'oeuvres at home before going to The Wild Olive for dinner.

We picked a few amazing appetizers and sipped on a sparkling red wine that was sent to our table.  I had never had a sparkling red before and was pleasently surprised.  I actually reached for that more than my favorite white wine.  For my entree, I ordered the linguine with Charleston shrimp, tomato, garlic, fresh spicy red chile and basil.  It was fabulous!  If you like a lighter pasta with a spicy kick, this is for you.
Here's a photo of the chef, Jacques Larson, making this exact pasta!

Here's the birthday girl!
...and the whole group:

On another note, how ready are you all for spring?
We had a chilly, but beautiful day on Sunday, so Brandon and I walked around and shopped a bit downtown.
I've been very bad lately and stocked up on too many items from J. Crew and Banana Republic.  Got to get my wardrobe ready for the new season!  I ordered these babies and cannot wait for them to arrive.  Hope they don't look silly on me.  I will report back :)

Speaking of ordering online, I just got my first Ebates check in the mail and amazed how quickly a little shopping here, a little shopping there can add up in your cash-back rewards.  Talk about an unexpected treat for my bank account.  If only I had known about this sooner!!  So there's my tip to you... don't forget to use Ebates, dears.  Just sign in through your Facebook, which takes about three seconds, and access you favorite store from their website.

That's all I've got for now.  Hope you all have the best day!
Xo.

  8. Ooh, I need to try this place ASAP. I LOVE Italian and my husband and I are always looking for new Italian places in Charleston to try.

Love the scalloped shorts. I actually have a black pair I got over a year ago from Urban Outfitters that I have never worn because I wasn't so sure about them...but now that the whole scalloped shorts look is back in, I'm pulling them back out this Spring. :)

  9. Thanks for the Ebates tip. I just signed up :) I haven't bought anything from Banana Republic in years so I'm not sure what my size would be, but I love those shorts. They are the perfect item to have in your closet for spring. Mind if I copy? :)
