OOTD + Bright, Bold Lips

The weather in Charleston can't make up its mind.  One day it will be 50 degrees, the next day will be 80 degrees.  I'm really struggling with what to wear on the hot days because I don't want to look spring/summer, but that's the way it feels outside! 
Today is about 75 degrees, so this is what I threw together...
a black dress that I got from Saks Off Fifth a couple years ago, paired with a Banana Republic sweater and Banana Republic boots.
I wore Miss B Jewelry Designs earrings.
(This is a clue to my next giveaway!)
Alongside my Michael Kors watch, I wore a Banana Republic chunky chain link bracelet, which I just bought, but is no longer available online.
To finish off my look, I used Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss in Triomphal, which is a gorgeous color in their holiday collection.
It’s a bright, blue-based pink-tinted red with pink and ruby red sparkly flakes. (Follow that?)
This lip color is a glossy, gel consistency.  After about four hours, the gloss fades, but the lip color stays true.

I can't get enough of bold, bright lips!  Well, lipstick in general.  There is something so feminine about applying lip color, no? Especially when it comes in pretty packaging like these...

    Oh my gosh, I love your dress and boots combo. I never think about pairing black and brown for a look like that. I usually stick to small combos of black and brown/tan. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Super cute outfit! I was having this same problem when I was visiting Charleston this past weekend! Brought all cold weather outfits and ended up sweating by Monday!! Geez!

    I love how you put the outfit together :) and I'm in Charlotte and it's hard to figure out what to wear here too, without looking like summer! I was sooo tempted to pull out a summery Lilly dress a few days ago but luckily resisted!

    I'm obsessed with the bright obnoxious lip trend. It's such an easy way to dress up your face bc you don't need much more makeup other than that so the look doesn't fight w itself! love your blog- i'm a southern gal too in GA
