Let's back track.
On Thursday night, Brandon and I had planned on a relaxing evening at his place.
On Thursday night, Brandon and I had planned on a relaxing evening at his place.
We're proud to announce that we're working on not eating out every night, but trying to master this little thing I like to call "cooking."
I will say that we're taking baby steps, as our version of cooking is heating a Trader Joes meat that has been prepared in all its splendor, minus the actual "heating up" part of it.
We tried the Southwestern Stuffed Chicken Breast.
I just can't help but love a man in a cut-off tshirt & crab claw pot-holders.
The chicken was stuffed with lots of cheese & a gigantic, mild jalepeno pepper.
Delish!
(I realize that I am most certainly not a "food photographer")
Then, we impulsively decided to go to a bluegrass concert with some friends.
So much for a relaxing evening on the couch!
I tried to find my inner bluegrass-self when deciding what to wear, but failed.
In an attempt to get one last wear out of my favorite summer maxi dress, this is what I came up with.
Banana Republic Denim Shirt, Express Maxi Dress, Sam Edelman Gigi Sandals |
We really enjoyed the band, Chatham County Line.
On Friday, I ordered an iPhone 4S!
Finally, I will be able to retire my first generation Droid Eris and its cracked screen!
That night, my brother came into town for a quick visit.
We ate dinner at Taco Boy & met up with friends downtown.
Pictures will have to come later!
On Saturday, Brandon and I rode bikes to the Farmer's Market & ate lunch downtown.
Sorry, but those pictures will come later, too.
(I don't have the connector with me to upload pictures off my camera)
Later on, I watched more football in one day than I've watched in my entire life.
We literally caught a glimpse of every big college football game that aired on TV from 12pm until 10pm.
(I don't want to talk about it)
Our Clemson Tigers pulled off another win and are now 6-0!
...moving on to Sunday.
Again, sorry I don't have the pictures to put up right now!
Guess what I did on Sunday??
I bought the Josephine desk that I blogged about on Friday!
(Thank you, Laura, for the 25% coupon!)
I spent Sunday evening moving around my room, determined to find the perfect space for it. I did figure it out, but had to say goodbye to my makeup vanity. I have pictures of my room "before" and will have to take some "after" pictures so that I can share both.
...busy week ahead.
I've got a photo shoot tonight, shag class tomorrow night, a work event on Wednesday night, & who knows what throughout the rest of the week.
Here's my OOTD today for work:
...also want to give a shoutout to my real-life friend, Cody at One Hungry Runner, for running her second full marathon this weekend in Chicago! So awesome!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Xo.
