Our wedding day was, by far, the best day of my life thus far. I know that's what they all say, but never in my life will I have that exact group of friends and family all together, in one place, celebrating the love Brandon and I share. The whole day was like a dream. A very, very happy dream that I would give anything to re-live. Good thing I have these beautiful photos from Marni Rothschild Pictures so that I can step back into these happy moments whenever I'd like.
Brandon and his groomsmen got ready at the most adorable cottages on the Charleston Harbor.
Our parents stayed at these cottages, too.
As a wedding gift, I gave Brandon the Bulova Accutron he has been eyeing for years.
My girls and I stayed Friday night and got ready for the wedding at the Wentworth Mansion. I reserved the Grande Mansion Suite and it was just that ...grand. We were definitely not the quietest group (we may or may not have been told to hold down the noise at 3 o'clock in the morning after our rehearsal dinner), but they still pampered us and made us feel completely welcome.
That day, my mom gave me a silver compact mirror with my new initials engraved on it. I'm using it in the photo below!
My dad helped me put on my wedding shoes...
I wore two garters. The bigger one is the one my mom wore on my parent's wedding day. The smaller one was a gift from Brandon's parents. They brought it back from Belgium for me!
My bouquet was wrapped with the sleeve of my grandmother's wedding dress.
The tulle material you see on top of that is part of the veil/hat that my mom wore on her wedding day!
While we were taking pre-ceremony group portraits, my bridesmaid, Cody, found a four leaf clover. She stuck it in my bouquet. I'm not sure how long it stayed in there before falling out. My bouquet was very special to me!
...walking to the church!
Much more to come. ;)
