...that's Crock Pot Cooking.
We received a slow cooker for a shower gift and I decided to pull it out last night for the first time. Twenty three days until I'm a Mrs. means it's time to get domestic.
I've been so amazed at the meals you can make in one of those things! Not just meals, but tea, hot chocolate, bread, sauces. Thanks to Pinterest, I have quite the array of recipes to choose from. There's just a huge satisfaction that I gain from knowing that my dinner is being cooked for me while I'm at work.
Anyway... first up to bat.
Don't those look amazing? You could always 86 the bread and just put the chicken on a salad.
Here are some other recipes I plan to try soon.
Any recipes you want to share? Have you tried any of these?
So funny on the timing here - I actually made the honey sesame chicken last night! It was just good, not great in my opinion. My husband agrees. I would probably make it again though, especially since most of the ingredients it calls for I typically already have on hand. I love crock pot cooking, so simple. Especially since I go to the gym after work and am typically not home until 7:45 or so - nice to have dinner ready and waiting!

ReplyDeleteI made the honey sesame chicken last night!! Except I cheated and used the ingredients just to make a sauce for the chicken, it was delicious and i know would be excellent in the slow cooker!!
ReplyDeleteI made the honey sesame chicken last night! But cheated and just mixed the ingredients and reduced them to make a delicious sauce for my chicken, I cannot imagine how yummy they would have been had I made it in the slow cooker!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite - and easiest - things to do in the crockpot is through in chicken breasts and a packet of taco seasoning. Let cook for about 4 hours, shred apart with a fork and you have delicious chicken for tacos!
