What I'm Loving

1. The Urban Decay Naked Palette

Many of you mentioned your love for this eyeshadow palette when I told you I bought it.

Well, after a couple weeks of using it... I, too, am in love!

I bought this because I've heard rave reviews about the beautiful, nude colors and the lasting power.  

As far as the lasting power, I'm not so sure that they last any longer than my former nude palette, NYX Cosmetics Champagne & Caviar, which, by the way, retails for $12. (Compared to $48 for the Naked Palette)

As you can see, the colors are quite similar, as well. 

The Naked Palette does come with a brush and a mini Primer Potion, which are wonderful additions! 

I would recommend both of these tremendously, although the Naked Palette takes the cake due to their higher pigmentation & silkier texture.

2.  The book I recently rediscovered, Bergdorf Blondes.

I read this book years ago, but found it in a random drawer when I was home for Easter.  I've read so much of it within the past few days and am LOVING it! It's such a light-hearted read.  As it's based in NYC, it's getting me even that much more excited for our trip in a couple weeks. 

3.  The Royal Wedding

Ok, I may or may not have have gotten up at 4am to watch the live ceremony, but I did wake up at 7:30am to tune in.  I feel that I've gotten enough recaps (over and over, again) that it doesn't matter that I didn't see it all live. 

I have one word...

BREATHTAKING!

Her gown was stunning.  I'm predicting that we'll see a lot more long-sleeved gowns in future American weddings.

I seriously can't get enough. 

...and that hats!

Don't get me started.

4.  I'm loving that Brandon and I are going out to get our favorite sushi tonight at O-ku.

I'm obsessed...

We've all seen news segments after new segments featuring William and Kate's wedding.

Yes, I'm overjoyed to watch ...but you'd think we just discovered martians with all of this media coverage!

Natalie Morales said on the Today Show this morning that the British people mock the Americans because we are so incredibly excited about the wedding. 

Seriously, I saw a magazine at the grocery store yesterday that was called, "All About Kate."

...but you know, she's beautiful & I might could hear about her all day long. 

One thing that I certainly won't get tired of is the royal hats! 

Did anyone catch the E! News segment last night where they visited Kate Middleton's hat designer, Philip Treacy?

Let me just tell you, sistah, they are all to die for! 

Oh please let me have a royal engagement to attend so that I, too, can wear one of these beauties!

Oh, PS. If you don't want to wake up at 4am to watch the wedding, here are the times for the important parts! 

According to Kathy and Hoda,

Kate walks down the aisle at 6am est and the kiss is at 8:25am est!
(Did anyone else hear that? I hope they got those times right!)

Are you going to be up at 4am watching the wedding? 

I will! But this is one of those times I wish I had a DVR!

Easter Weekend

Happy Easter! 

My brother and I went home to see my parents this Easter weekend.  As usual, the two days went by way too quickly!

We started today off with a big breakfast -fresh fruit, grits, eggs, cinnamon rolls, ham and cheese casserole, toast, and sausage.  YUM! 

Then, off to church with my family.

Can you believe we were ready to eat again, three hours later? 

Mom made homemade crab cakes, marinated chicken, twice baked potatoes, salad, yeast rolls, and an angel food cake (cooked with only a can of crushed pineapple) with cool whip & fresh strawberries! 

Going in reverse here...

Yesterday, Brandon and I went to Hilton Head Island to watch the Heritage golf tournament.  Cameras are forbidden on the course, so I only managed to get ONE picture! 

This post was meant to be short & sweet. 

So, there it is.
